PUBG came into our lives with a bang and alongside of forming the Battle Royale genre, was quick enough to gather a player base of millions. More games followed by PUBG remained to be the dominant force in the world of online games.

This dominance however, is steadily losing the count with each counting day. After almost a year of PUBG's rein, the game's daily player base has fell from the million count. On September, 10th PUBG lost the million player count, a feat that started last year on 8th September.

This ends a yearlong run of popularity of the game which has now started to take a downward trajectory. And this is greatly due to the increase in popularity of other games most importantly Fortnite.

I have noticed that fortnite decides not to be in Google play. And I guess that is where they are not going to make profit. I am sure that some other game would take their place. PUBG so far is being consistent about it.

I myself have moved from PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds to Fortnite. At first, I like PUBG better since it was the one that started this battle royale genre and it has more realistic graphics and theme. Once I tried Fortnite I can't go back to PUBG because it is more fun for me and it has lower PC requirements/smoother gameplay for me. :D

I don't think so. PUBG is coming to consoles and that's is a guarantee that the game is going to see an increase in the number of players.

To be honest it has been a while since I played PUBG, so I wouldn't know. Maybe when they finally launch on other consoles, I might try it again.

I think that it will help them grow but maybe not nearly as much as they hope. That said all it takes is something new and people to catch on, but we shall see.

Well, if PUBG is coming to consoles then then numbers will most likely go up imo.

PUBG is already dying and it will soon be dead. Moving to console is only delaying the inevitable.

How did you come to that conclusion? I don't see how that is even possible. They are literally increase their fanbase. Personally, I think PUBG is goingto be bigger than ever.

I have to agree. There is no way PUBG is going to die after they devs have decided to expand to other consoles.

If anything the console players will get annoyed with the bugs and hackers as well and drop PUBG. They aren't even trying to fix the core game to make it playable or at the very least enjoyable. I was tired of constantly running into chinese hackers in PUBG.

You need to loosen up man, every game has a bug or two. There are no perfect devs out here and that is a fact.

We know all games have bugs but there is a tolerable limit which this game has far exceeded.
