As I mentioned in my other post, I've recently started playing this game. I grabbed a lot of Radscorpion tails and sold them when I reached Klamath. Then I looted a few containers and sold stuff again. I then noticed that I didn't gain any money. Then I remembered how bartering actually works in the first two Fallout games.. (i.e. you drag the items you want to sell AND the money you want to receive) I basically just gifted the stuff I'd gathered instead of selling them. I was angered, yet also amused, by my stupidity so I thought I'd share with you nice people.
I am learning this game. I recently purchased the game and have come here to this forum so I can learn it. I am glad I found this forum and more particularly, that I found this post. I did not understand how the battering worked at all. I grew up in the eighties and am just getting back into gaming.
We've all been there and we've all facepalmed at one point or another. Did you get to the point where your trusty companions rip you to pieces with their automatic weapons yet? It's actually much more fun than it sounds
Haha I'm sure it's fun! I haven't played the game in a while actually so I haven't had that experience in FO. However, I know how it feels, it happened in Wasteland 2 countless times. You can't help but laugh every time it does. Unless bleeding damage occurs. That can be a bit of an annoyance.
Never give an automatic weapon to your NPCs. That is rule #1 when playing the classic Fallout games. The AI is not very smart, and doesn`t care if your trusty companion shoots you to pieces with their Gatling Laser.
I've made the same mistake before. It was definitely frustrating. Thankfully though, it didn't take long for me to notice that I wasn't gaining any money - I'm a greedy person, so I really do pay attention to that But thankfully I'm also a massive hoarder, meaning it didn't take long for me to collect my money's worth.
