I'm not familiar with that abbreviation, but doesn't it mean Post-traumatic stress disease?

Speaking of female characters in Metro and Artyoms marriage, this is very interesting. Take a look at something the devs said in the Last Light Q&A.

"Q1: Are you introducing any female rangers? Russian females kick ass!
A1: We're keeping a lot of the plot and characters under wraps for now, but you'll see a major new character next time we show the game. Is it a he or a she though? We can't say just yet..."

If it truly is a female, maybe it's Artyom's love? Or maybe it's just that Bourbon-ish 'Pavel' guy shown in the last video...

    [BOOK SPOILER ALERT]
If we're talking about the book, well I can say our Protagonist Artyom didn't drowned in the Tulskaya Station, because the one in Tulskaya was Artyom Popov. But when Melnik was talking about the boy that went nuts, he was talking about the protagonist Artyom. Why? Well he stated they blew up the Dark Ones' nest with that boy. So, the protagonist Artyom got married.

true, but since he lacked a last name from the beginning, it seems quite likely that he would take his wifes lastname?

If you don't want the book to be ruined for you then fuck off.

Pretty sure Artyom is the man that gets shot by Hunter and the rangers at the end of Metro: 2034 (I assume they don't know it's him) because he's the guy that the commander at the diseased station sends out to run to the telephone and tell him to blow the tunnel.

Don't know if it's the same Artyom but that's the impression I got from the book. I did read a fan translation though so I could be off the mark by miles.

Tough shit, you should've realised there's spoilers once you read the first post. If you can only understand English though good look finding an English translation. Just for those who haven't read this far yet i'll edit my post to warn of spoilers.

pretty sire you are wrong here.
He can't be the guy who gets out since the tunnel actually exploded, foolding the station, meaning he got to the detonator.

Didn't know if that was directed to me or another guy so...
I'm pretty sure the commander wants Artyom to live so he sends him out to ring the phone where Hunter and the rangers are to tell the commander to blow the tunnel and just as he tells him to blow it the rangers shoot him dead. The commander at the station has the detonator I think. All Artyom has to do is tell him when he's clear of the tunnel or something like that. It's been a while since I read the book.

    Might be so,
but as I recall it artyom himself has ot go to the boom-location and trigger the detonation, since the commander can't do it himself wounded and so. might be wrong, been a while since I read it too
