Open world first person shooter with a non-linear story set in the Metro 2033 universe, where we get to travel across what remains of other Eastern European states (preferably at least Belarus, Poland and Ukraine). That would be amazing, but I know we won't see that happen - definitely not in this project. :lol:

Other way around. Last Light is based on the upcoming book. The story and everything was thought through and finished, then they made Last Light, but the actual writing of the book, is still in progress. Anyway, that's just how I've interpreted it

Don't mean to brag, but the wiki article for Metro 2035 was created by me. So, yeah, I do mean to brag. It's been modified since then and updated, but the majority of the content on it is still what I wrote. And from what I know about this, Potarto is right - the game was first and work on the book began after development of LL started (this is based on info from interviews at least).

 

Yeah, I vaguely remember hearing before that the book was planned to later compliment the game.

And I clicked on the announcement page.

"Currently in 4A Games is developing a new part of the Metro. What would it be for the project - a multiplayer shooter, RPG - is still unknown, since the announcement still has not publicly held. We wait and hope that the guys from Kiev did not disappoint.

I'm guessing this was already revealed, but I don't know what other space we're supposed to be checking for the news.

no idea, normally Komodo is the first to hear about any update. I hope it wasn't a fake announcement, otherwise let's see what happens at E3 or ask Huw over twitter if there is any truth to the article.

Might as well close the thread if this is about Redux. I was led to believe it was a successor to Metro Last Light.

I think that tweet may have referred to homefront revolution that was just announced today and it seems deep silver is the publisher. This game better not chaege extra for modes otherwise I'll boycott any game publushed by them.

There has been no mention besides redux that there is another Metro game being made.
