Okay, why should I start this game? Anyone care to convince me?

As other posters have mentioned, if you don't have friends playing, it's hard to enjoy (personally). When all of my friends stopped playing, I lost interest. Although, the story lines were some of the best I've seen in an MMORPG, certainly better than WoW.
