New Info About Shadow Ranger Achievement

    "1. All NPCs on levels Chase, Red Square and D6 do not count towards Shadow Ranger achievement. In other words you can deal with all enemies on these levels in any ways you want.
    2. Killing an enemy with a silent knife takedown ("V" by default) fails an achievement.
    3. Killing any human outside the levels mentioned above even once expires the achievement and you have to start over with New Game. Reloading a save or checkpoint does not fix this."

    Not my find, thanks to Komodo (who seems to be behind everything interesting we find about this game) in the description of his newest vid where he punches everyone on the train on RHC.

    Still waiting for a patch on Xbox to fix the Ranger DLC achivements, but still nice to know for when we get to that point.

    Yeah, you might edit your first message with this translation:

    1. All NPCs on levels Chase, Red Square and D6 do not count towards Shadow Ranger achievement. In other words you can deal with all enemies on these levels in any ways you want.

    It was confirmed by the 4A devs on two separate occasions, once by one of the programmers on gameru.net forums, the other time by the 4A tester on Steam community.

    You can, you'll just forfeit an achievement.

    Neat. Im still trying to get the achievement now. And see the whole Teatr show since I missed it on the first playthrough :c

    Shadow ranger,here i come! Say what you want but stealth in LL is so much fun. There is nothing better than trying to avoid a sentry,then walk behind his back and punch him in the face :D

    There were 200k survivors at 2013 and there are 40k at 2033.

    Human race is dying out at a steady rate of one per hour for two decades, I don't want to contribute to that unless I have no other choice.

    Me either but sometimes I just find it fun to go around and kill loads of guards, then reload the checkpoint and continue my game properly.

    Seems my thirst for blood has cost me :(

    Dang will have to start a new game killed someone on impulse reloaded checkpoint figuring it would overwrite but guess not.

    It has been fixed for a week or two. Just delete the Ranger Mode DLC from your hard drive. Then re-download it. Then continue as normal. Even if you have beaten the game on Ranger Normal/Hardcore when the achievements were glitched, just replay D6 if you still have the save and you'll also get the achievement.

    (Clever, this way, they avoid having to pay Microsoft $50,000 to release a second patch, since all devs are only allowed one free patch.)

    yeah i guess this is why i didn't get the achievement too, as i went back to a checkpoint after getting angry and killing everyone beforehand :rant:

    Why would you play a game (Any game) if you aren't interested in them?

    On a related note: It is possible to beat Red Square on Ranger Hardcore with no kills. Which I just did. Which I'll probably never attempt doing again.
