Last Light: Not Gritty Enough

I think what Pip trying to say here is that the dialogue is -in general- directed to 11-15 year olds, which I agree to, although many individuals may stand out from that classification even if they are 11-15 years old. TheStalker may be one of those individuals.

 

So can we all agree TheStalker ruined the game

How is it in any way directed at 11-15 year olds? Both are chock-full of dialogue from both the corny and dramatic/gritty end of the spectrum. Most kids that age (at least ones that I knew when I was younger) had more interest in games like Halo and COD than in a game that's, well, not exactly obscure, not not exactly known for its universal commercial appeal. Sure, LL simplified some things, but I hardly see how 11-15 year olds are relevant.

 

Does anybody say anything remotely useful? No thats because TheStalker ruined the game

Saying it's directed at 11-15 year olds is an exaggeration, I agree. But comparing Metro2033's language with Metro Last Light's language certainly does prove that it has been simplified indeed.

 

is 11 to 15 even a proper age grouping? even that could be split up into 10 to 13, and 13 to 16, or even 13 to 18

kids these days are all so different that age grouping in general is a really bad way of trying to argue a point

Please, if I had to spend time with someone under the age of 17 I'd strangle them. Their stupidity and ignorance makes my soul twitch.
