I think it's not dying, it seemed like players just settle down a bit. Of course WoW should continue upgrading and innovating their game just to make players more enticed.

I think it is dying slowly. Though I am not sure if they have plans to expand with something new. I think soon things wil surely change. And we may see something new.

I don't think WoW will end its reigns in the gaming industry any time soon. Yes, a lot of new games are coming in the market now. But, considering that WoW is one of the longest 3D games in the industry now, I don't think Blizzard will going to allow that. WoW already proves its stability and competency in the Gaming Market now.

The question is a bit unclear because WoW was "dying" from the moment it was "born," like all games. But as for its decreasing popularity, you can expect the time that a player will put into a game like WoW to be limited. Those who played the first three expansions, for example, are likely to have had their fill of the game or otherwise be turned away by modifications to it.

To be honest, it has been a while sincei dove into WoW. I used to love it a few years ago but along the way it kind of lost the magic, at least on my part.

It was probably where so many of us first really got into the whole thing. I can think of some others but it is right up there for me.

Most people that have played WoW for more that 5 years, the game has pretty much lost excitement for the larger percentage of the gamers.

I'm guessing to new comers it feels very new and exciting. So it is a matter of how long you have played WoW.

It is pretty much dead if you ask me. It is not going ahead anymore. And it seems to be adding no new content either. So based on that it can be said that the game is as good as dying.

I've heard from a couple of new players and they don't seem to have a problem with WoW at all. So my thinking is, if you have never played WoW in your life, then it will seem like a lot of fun.

Is it not a truth that WoW never had as many active players as now?

Compared to all MMORPGs out there today, I guess World of Warcraft could be considered the largest. It has better content than almost all of the MMOs out there and it has the largest player base. However, I also think it is slowly dying because most people are moving on to other genres like the new Battle Royale game style.

Old WoW players are definitely moving on to other/better things. New gamers on the other hand, are getting into WoW. Games like WoW will always have a huge fan base.
