How much do you care about your character's appearance?

In the beginning I didn't much care about how my characters looked, but more and more now I find myself worrying about the appearance of my toons. I don't know if it's because it gets monotonous to play with default characters or if it's just old age catching up but now I care how they look.

 

Very much. I mean, character creation is the most fun part for me to be hones. And After that, the gear and everything of course. Sure, the gameplay is important too, but appearance is the best part of the game to me.

 

I think that this one just depends on the game and the level of personalization that comes with it. If I am trying to make it the most real then yes I do care quite a bit, but otherwise not really.

 

It is somewhat important in a way. It is not as important as t he gameplay itself but still is a big deal in its own way. As long as the character isn't too hard to look at in the game then there really is no problem.

 

I think the characters' looks are cool / nice, but I find it very wasteful when people get a lot of energy out of it, haha.

 

Tell that to the game developers who make you purchase DLCs.

They would obviously want to kill me, but I wouldn't change my mind. It's a personal taste.

 

It is a bit of a mix, but usually I make my characters look like me with a few differences.

Some of my friends have already spent so much time and money on this that I really can not understand, haha. It's kinda scary sometimes, haha.

 

Wow, the only way I would spend money like that is if there was some extra story in the game or something.

 

Honestly, I'll never understand the fact that someone is spending money on character customization. It's really nonsense (at least for me ).

 

Me either, it is a mystery to me but each to their own I suppose.

 

I can understand the reason, but I can't accept the idea of seeing someone spending money on it.

That would be my reformulated opinion, haha!

 

Well, people have spent their money on far worse.

 

Well, not as much considering I pick up armor and helmets in the game so my attire is pretty much covered but I'm sure they're going to add cooler items in the future which I'll buy.

 

I have to agree with ypu, but I also have to agree on the fact that each person with their money what they want, doesn't it?

I talked yesterday with a friend of mine about it and he said that I need to understand the spirit of the game to be able to spend money on it, haha!

 

I definitely think that characters matter a lot. And one has to be really understanding on how the character play can be good enough. So on that note you can see that people should be choosing or even customizing them. Some games allow us to do that.
