    As above.

I'd probably go for the Lolife....such a lovely pistol!

I like the style of the Lolife, but both pistols are basically less effective AR's; they do around the same damage as an MGR, but have terrible magazine and total ammo capacity.

I really like pretty much all the guns in the game (the pre-war weaponry that everyone knows and especially the creatively designed arsenal that was crafted in the metro). However, I absolutely love the VSSK Vyhlop - the sniper rifle that appears first in the Faction Pack and then along with all the other weapons in the Developer Pack. It was extremely satisfying to kill with it and, since the mission was crafted all around it, it felt very useful. Its rarity and the fact that it appears only in the Red Line sniper mission add to its awesomeness.

    Bastard, shambler and VSV
i think the bastard in 2033 was better, more realistic, unique

    the vsv makes you invincible
the shambler has very original mechanics, i like how it works

Of the weapons in the core game that don't require any of the DLC, I'd probably go for the VSK-94 as well. Very nice gun for those who want to sneak their way through.

Yeah, probably my favorite in the game. Very versatile against mutants, and the style still makes it one of the more iconic weapons in the game. Still miss the bayonet attack, though.

You were technically right, as it is called VSV in-game. In real life it's called VSK-94, but it's the same gun - I just prefer to use the real life name. :)

    Me too.

Also, i don't see why you should not be able to attach a bayonet to any AK family gun or to the Valve.

I'm gonna have to go for the AKS74U outside the DLC. Counting with the DLC, my favorite is the bike-shotgun. It's so genius and awesome, and it has one hellova magazine capacity to be a shotgun, as well as being pretty powerful.
My third favorite would be the Automatic Saiga-12 shotgun, with extended magazine of course

I guess I'm the only one who f**king loved the Ashot? Hehe...

  13. Not enough buttons on the console controllers. You can either have aiming down sights or the bayonet attack. And as you can remember you could not ADS in M2033 with Shambler, but you could bash people to death with it.

You can't ads with Duplet either, since it's ads button is taken by double shot.

Personally I don't like single shot weapons. Probably stems from my Fallout 2 challenge where I went through the entire game with a zip gun in one hand and a booze bottle in another back in the previous millenium.

    That sounds less than productive.

  15. Melee-only characters are awesome too. Punch the enemy in the crotch and blow them to pieces.

I'm glad you brought this up. Punching rats in the groin and subsequently watching their guts explode was my jam. Until kicking them in the groin came into the picture. Finesse was a must-have trait solely for this reason.

  17. Hammer overhead swings were better for criticals on rats TBH.

It's not my favorite of all the guns, but I loved it as well. I loved how powerful it was, combined with the awesome and quick reloading. Not only was it mowing down my enemies, but it felt really awesome using it.

I'm currently doing a playthrough with Ashot and Lolife only, with just a couple of improvements for the two.

Either the VSK or the RPK.
