Best thing you've seen on the surface?

When the Nazi ranger is carried away by the demon on "Outpost" right in front of you. It was a moment the devs didn't have to add but did because they knew it would add even more soul to the game.

 

I always got chills when the Dark One communicated with you via the office building, and at the last moment you see it scurry down the hallway. Very eerie stuff. The first time I saw it I jumped, I'll admit.

 

I love the part at the beginning where your surrounded by the luker pack in the ark. Its a really intense opening.

 

Can anyone help me remember how to use throwing knives on ranger hardcore? I haven't played in so long. Now i cant aim with those knives

 

I have mastered the use of throwing knives without the HUD/crosshair to assist me. So try and center your enemy before you hold your breath and prepare to throw your knife. When you finally have them centered, hold down the fire button to hold your breath and raise the knife. Use where the knife in your left hand ends up as a sort of crosshair - keeping your target just to the right of it.

If you begin by doing that, you'll see where the knife is thrown and will be able to master it/throw knives on a dime. I wish I could upload all of my throwing knife kills - some of them are pretty crazy.

 

Best thing I've ever seen on the surface was a floating Nazi.
