Yes, it would sell in the same way... But with a bonus aimed at a larger audience, the chances of making more money increase even more (and this is what the producers want). I think if it's something totally faithful to the original material, many people may not end up going to watch it.
Well it's like watching a new movie anyway since these people haven't played the game before. Well I do not know anything about marketing a movie but these movie producers are doing a great job ripping off good material.
Unfortunately it's all about money. I even believe that screenwriters often want to do something more faithful to the original material, but they don't have the "power" to keep their decisions on the decisions of the producers.
In the end it just all comes down to money. Even the things that you might think might be able to outlast and resist, it all comes down to money.
I agree that the bottom line is that they have to think about making money before they can think about pleasing fans. It's unfortunate, but true.
Yes, I liked the movie, but it had some rough edges. They have cut many pieces. I also hate the romance part included, which was not in the game. I hope sequel will be better.
Honestly i didnt like their movies. I found those movies to be nothing but boring. Its kind of like troublesome from what I have seen.
The writers / producers really cut a lot of the real story and that romance they wanted to create was totally meaningless and hard to believe. I think World of Warcraft deserved a much better movie, basically because the game is very good!
The movie in my opinion was decent. Nothing too grand, it had more than a couple of flaws and felt rushed, but was okay.
