Which Final Fantasy MMORPG did you prefer? Which was better in your opinion? Final Fantasy XI or Final Fantasy XIV? I never played FFXI but I played FFXIV a little bit and it was alright. I played on console so it was a bit more difficult, but I'd like to try it again on PC someday. Final Fantasy XIV just got a new expansion and I know a lot of friends that have started playing on PC or returned to it on PC, so i'm interested in giving it another try. I can't really say if Final Fantasy XI was any better than Final Fantasy XIV because I never played Final Fantasy XI because when I was younger I didn't have access to online gaming when it was out in it's prime. For those that played both, which did you prefer and why?
I like Final Fantasy always. Its my childhood favorite. I like both Versions. Though I have a lot of other games, I can still throw Final Fantasy away. Its the best RPG.
I haven't played any of the ones you mentioned currently because I haven't played all levels consistently to reach that level. I had it on my phone but it required much data and space to play it.
I prefer Final Fantasy XIV to FFXI for various reasons: For one, FFXIV is more of an MMO style game as compared to FFXI which is menu-based. In FFXI, all attacks were made by accessing the game's menu, which makes them tactical as one has to choose the right attack for right situation. However, this takes time which makes the gameplay slower than in FFXIV. Secondly, in FFXI, when a player dies, they lose their experience and return to the home point if they aren't resurrected by another player. In FFXIV however, when one dies, they only lose part of their armor which is much more convenient. I also happen to like the change of names of the races in FFXIV. I kind of hated the names in FFXI. The crafting and gathering in FFXIV is more tactical to me and easier than in FFXI where there's more or less a 50/50 chance of success or failure.
