Like survival, minigame, creative, etc. My favorite used to be modded survival servers, I loved playing Tekkit Classic in survival and working my way up the "ladder" to having a fully automated base with multiple quarries and factories. Recently I have been playing minigame servers such as Hypixel servers, I have gotten kind of burnt out of Minecraft so I really only play 30 minutes at a time and minigame servers allow me to do that.
Economy based servers (like mine, join today!) are pretty nice, because it's always nice to sell that item you have too much of and be able to get something useful back from it
I Oh, I forgot to mention I like economy servers, because it is much easier on those to get items. I don't like trading with most people on non-economy servers, because usually they will scam you and half the time it is a PvE server so there is no way to just kill them and get back your items.
I usually just played on Survival servers with factions and lockette etc.. Economy servers sound really cool! I'll probably check them out and I've also been thinking about drug servers .
My server has Towny, which is a little like factions except it's a lot more economy based. When you start a town, it takes $25000 from your player bank account, and when someone kills you, they get ~10% of your money (I'm not sure of the exact amount). Drugs for the server was actually something I was looking into, though Maybe coming soon... maybe...
It depends on my mood, but I usualyl like playing mini game servers if I don't have too much time to spend. Pixelmon is also quite fun since I grew up on the gameboy color and Pokemon.
I play on survival and economy servers, but I enjoy economy more. I took up Economics so that's one reason. Lol. I simply enjoy trading with other people.
It is incredibly difficult to set up a server where people want to trade with eachother ._. On my server there's /shop where you can buy items from the server, but I know a lot of people don't even use that
I was always on minecraftserver.com until it got overpopulated and it went from friendly familiar faces to strangers that you are always paranoid are going to blow up your house, attack you or rob you blind.. Now I just set up a little private server for myself, my significant other and a few friends to chill out on without worries of griefing.
Sounds interesting, I have never tried one but I think I would like that. thank you for the suggestion!
I believe that the absolute most fun I've ever had while playing Minecraft online was on zombie survival servers. Those are fun as hell. You get some friends, make some barricades (I believe in the server I went on, they could even be destroyed, which made the game even more interesting), and survive. It's actually a lot of fun.
Yeah, zombie servers are cool too. A while ago I was really into minez so I guess that's something. MineZ actually turned out to be better than Dayz
I like creative servers.. those are always really fun, because you get to see everyone else's creations along with show off yours!
I actually prefer a smaller server population, as it gives everything a more personal touch. Also I have to agree with the guys above, that an economy system is a huge bonus ;-). Other than that I would not play on a creative server as I'm more of a survivalist.
Yeah, economy based servers are absolutely amazing. Interacting with other people and being able to in a way profit out of it is great. That's the main reason I love playing in survival servers, really. Economy systems are so fun and I've no clue why.
