Lets hope so, i had to choose stalker style due to my shortage of supplies, but i have faith.
P.S: what suits a stalker better; an Czech CM4 or a Russian GP5?

Welcome to our great forums, and thanks for the compliment :D
I would go for the CM4 gas mask, it's way more metro-y than the GP5 :)

Can you tell me excactly why the CM4 is more metro-y? ( just wondering)

In my opinion, I'd say because the CM4 is more of a military issued gas mask than the GP5. The GP5 is more of a civilian-type gas mask. It would also make you look like a Snork from Stalker :p

You should try cosplaying in both masks.

I see, thanks for your info, a snork is a bit hard to cosplay for me imo, although it looks fun.
I will try finding a suiting helmet or headwear for the cm4, tips are always welcome!

Always happy to see a new face in the tunnels, I hope you'll enjoy your stay. :D I also prefer the CM4. Although both of these gas masks were designed for civilian use, I agree with Nuclear that for some reason the CM4 looks a bit more military. Either way, civilian gas masks are fine for a stalker cosplay seeing as how most stalkers are scavengers, especially in Metro 2033, relying on whatever they can find and not always having access to military gear.

    Great opinions, guys! :D

Huh... that's actually a very good question. I don't think I even knew why when I wrote it, but I associate the CM4 more with metro than the GP5, and I have now realized why: What I meant by Metro-y is that it has kind of the same shape as the russian PMK gasmask:

    CM4:

    PMK:

I've never really liked the appearance of the GP5. Firstly, the original white color is unusual and doesn't really fit with being a gasmask, and secondly it has that strange horror-movie-like appearance with that leathery appearance and the small round eyes and the Snork-like "nose".

You have a very good point there, im probably going to stick with the CM4 as i made mine look "worn".
still, i am using the gp5 bag though, its a neat little thing.

I see your point, too bad the cm4 has the filter underneath it.
Also, ive made a VERY, VERY quick picture here, its not good at all, and i had to take one glove off in order to take the picture.
I was wearing my non-finished(far from it) stalker outfit here(the GP5 will change to a CM4)

Sorry for the horrible quality, i dont have much time, but i promise i will make better ones soon!

If the CM4 is the same filter thredding as the GP5 or the PMK then get a russian hose and it would fit , i have a hose on my PMK. That would make it look more STALKER or metro-y.

Also you could even use a M10M mask , it is a bright rubber on it but if you use acrilic paint on it (that can come off) and give it a warn/ beat up look that would work. Bad side to that is its cheek filters and not an exturnal filter , that i think would be more for a metro cosplay then a STALKER though.

For some reason i dont really like the M10M, i mean, for a Ranger or something it would be cool due to its military look, but imo it just doesnt look like something straight outta metro.
I like your idea of making it look worn, it gives that extra feeling to it, like you've been wearing it for years.
I did the same on my CM4, i just took some sanding paper and started sanding around the edges.
