Well, I've read books many times over, sometimes 4-5 times. But I read a lot, kinda have to. I can't think of sleeping without reading a few pages of something (unless I'm ultra-tired), so I guess I might be an exception. To Vapera: Well, I'm 21, still enjoy the Narnia books, as well as violent crime novels, so there you go! Ha ha!
yes same here i cant fall asleep unless i read a few pages of a book. and the only time i can read books are right before bed and during a airplane ride, that it haha
Well, I can always read books. I went to a party once and just sat there reading (until I got sick of the noise). So Boris, what do you like to read? Apart from the great Metro 2033?
i like books that have a mix of a little bit of action and some psychological elements in it. i personally dont like books that are action action action but books that require you to think more about a certain subject.
Definitely. Metro was pretty serious in parts, and it made a nice change from most flippant literature.
I don't think I've read ANY book twice xD But I can recommend a few, among them the Series made by Phillip Pullman, otherwise: The Discworld books (most of them atleast!) by Terry Pratchey. It's mainly Fantasy/comedy and they'r REALLY funny sometimes xD Stardust by Neil Gaiman, also fantasy/comedy but it's really worth it. The Aeronaut by Eion Colfer, a really good book. Genre? Hard to say but it's Steampunkish. Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman AND Terry Pratchet. A really good book about how the Apocalypse could be like Well they'r most fantasy, but Neil Gaiman makes more than just fantasy. Pick up his book Smoke and Mirrors for all kinds of short novels. Really good if you'r bored ^^
Ah, good old Terry Pratchet. I've read a few of his books: very funny! They actually have a few Discworld games on PS1, they're kinda like puzzle games, but since it's Discworld there isn't any logic at all! Thanks for the suggestions, might get a few Terry Pratchet's...
recommend "Between a rock and a hard place" by aaron ralston. they actually made a movie about him called 127 hours. its a biography about how he gets stuck in a slot canyon in utah and amputates his own arm to survive. very good book.
yea I heard about that :/ Cant remember how he did it, but it's seems horrible although xd Pretty ironic title btw, will always remind me of "Simpsons, The Movie" lol xD
Lucky! Mine cost something like $20 NZ. Man, when are they gonna release 2034 in English? And, Lazer88, you should check out "Roadside Picnic", the book on which the Stalker games are based. Excellent book, read it twice already.
If Im right (wich Im pretty sure I am in this case) Metro 2034 is already out in English. I've read the book in Swedish and the Swedish translation of books generaly comes out later then the English ones. Maybe it haven't reached New Zealand yet?
Well, if you find one, tell me and I will buy it from you! I had to import 2033, so I'll probably have to import 2034 too. :/
