I think it looks good. Though I will reserve my final opinion for when it comes out. I do like the so called "mech/battle suits/whatever they are" that the people are using.
Actually, they're not really suits, but rather giant robots. They are called Jaegers. The movie has been in theaters since last weekend, if I am not mistaken.
The movie was fun. I'm a sucker for huge things fighting other huge things. I didn't really care too much about the drama between the characters because I'm a bad person. It needed more giant monster fights, in my humble opinion. Like, I don't want any story or interactions between characters. I want to sit down in the theater and have the words Pacific Rim slowly disappear from the screen to reveal giant monsters and robots battling each other for unknown reasons for over an hour. I can't decide if a compilation of fights or if just one continuous, mind melting battle is better. Do you root for the robots? Do you root for the monsters? Who knows? The only thing you know for certain is that after the film you will never be the same.
