I sat on the ledge when Benjamin approached me and sat next to me. I didnt really have anything on my mind so i said, "So whats with those guys acting like that with me? Something happened right? And whos this Boris i keep hearing about?"

Lubyanka, a small and humble station. A great battle once raged here between the Reds and the Nazi's a year or two ago, i had even been hired to spear head a red offensive but was realesed from service after being shot in the leg. This was the first time i stepped foot here since then. not much had changed so thankfully i still rememberd where the general store was. I went in and refiled my cigarete can then proceeded to the gun shop. I put my mp443 grach pistol on the counter and said to the gunsmith "60 bullets and it's your's" he picked it up and tinkered with it for a few seconds "40" i frowned my eyes in disappontment "it's and armour pircing pistol in superb condition with a 18 round capacity, 40 will not do". "oh it's worth 60 but you get the special visitors price" he arogantly chuckled. "listen you, i almost died defending this f#$king station!. you wouldn't even be here if i hadn't helped so give me 50 and 7 nagant bullets and well call it even?" i threatened. He stood and thought for a moment then took the pistol of the counter and put down a 45 round kalash mag and the 7 nagant bullets, i smiled a little. "Only because i support the reds and there cause. but i don't ever want to see you again, understood?". I took the bullets and left without another word. i walked over to andrey and ben and sat down, my fathers pistol was the only one i needed.

We reached Lubyanka, here the Reds where in control and i sadly was a wanted man on their list, if an officer saw my face i could cause a violent gunfight which would no be well, luckily i had a balaclava with me, it would mask my face and maybe we will get out of here with no incident, i took off my helmet and put my balaclava on, after which i put it back on.
We entered the station and it seemed to go well, the guards did not want to mess with a heavily armed group of this size because it will not end well for them, i stayed close to Steven and watched Andreys movement closely, but i was not watching just them, i was watching everything that was happening around us and looking for anyone who will try to do harm.

I kept hidden the whole time I was with the group until we reached Lubyanka. My eyes were aching from the time in the dark. It felt like I was born a new life. But then again, my breath still smells like whiskey (which I have no complaints about), and my back is still aching from all the crouching.

As everyone went their ways, I walked up near a kiosk and inspected their goods. I had to abandon an old friend of mine back in Paveletskaya, when a 'newcomer' attacked me. Damn, I miss that gun. Stechkins were practically my favorite, but it seemed as though they didn't have any of those here...

I picked up an unusual pistol and grinned. What are you doing here love? I held it up, and it fitted just fine. Damn, I've never seen anyone sell these... Damn. A chrome-plated Stechkin. Just by looking at this beauty, I knew I had to buy it.

"Hey, friend." I said to the trader, "How much for this?"

"two sixty" he replied with a grin.

"Two sixty? That's highway robbery right there!" I shouted, outraged as I pulled out the a well-made lighter with an ornate design. "Here."

He grinned as he examined the lighter and nodded, "Sure."

I took the gun but stared at him and said, "Ammo. That lighter's worth three hundred."
He and I exchanged in what seemed to be an hour long staring contest, with him wearing a cocky grin and me, a scowl. I've dealt with these scum before, giving out the best guns with no ammo, hoping some dope would forget about it.

After what seemed to be an hour had passed, he nodded and passed me five clips for the Stechkin. This time I was wearing a smile on my face as I left the bastard's stall. After all, that lighter was only worth a hundred.

I walked by Andrey's side, slightly behind him. My throat felt strangled in this station, I remembered when I had come here on a mission to assassinate a Red officer. It had been a tight affair, and the hunted atmosphere still hung in the air. One false step here, one wrong word from any of our group and I might be lynched. No, I would be lynched, but probably given a good beating over first, maybe some torture for a few weeks. Sweat broke out on my neck and arms, and I shifted uncomfortably. "Let's get out of this damned..." I glanced at Dimitri, coughed, and said "... out of this station". Pyotr was dealing with a store owner, and others were separating.

I sat down beside Andrey with Steven not so far from us. I sighed. "Boris was our old team member. He died a most tragic death, saving whatever life was left for the rest of us. He did an honorable sacrifice for us all. His death was definitely for reason. Had it not been for him, I believe we would not have gotten this far" I spoke. "About the team's relation to you, well... I believe everyone has an opinion on their own. A first-impression is something that almost everyone has. Not to be rude, but you did not seem to make such an excellent impression at first, eh?" I asked. "Despite this, people's attitudes will change with time and conversation. Even a man like myself can make an awful first impression" I admitted, thinking back at how my introduction to Pyotr had seemed so uninspired and 'lame'.

I kept my word to watch Steven and quickly followed behind. It was getting clear that Steven did not care for the Reds or there cause, I myself was a strong believer and well known and respected among there ranks as both a fighter and collaborator. This gave me a strong position among the Reds, but endless enemies from the Reich. It troubled me that I hadn't told the group, I would not pass through the Reich a free man. I lit a cigarette with shaky hands and kept walking.

I glanced back at Dimitri as I followed my "captor" Andrey. The guy seemed nervous, his hands shaking as he lit his smoke. The light cast a blueish hue over everything, making it ugly and cold. Our footsteps were quiet, a small noise in the Red station. There weren't many people in this part of the station, just a few guards here and there. A prisoner walked past under a heavy escort, a rope with a noose slung over one guard's shoulder. I felt like pulling out my knife and gutting him, with his smug grin fading as the blood drained from his damned carcass.

Then I looked at myself, and felt a deep shame. These thoughts of violence and evil kept catching me unawares, mainly because it was buried somewhere in my newly found nature. It was like a cancer which you didn't notice but made each day a struggle and would slowly kill you.

We arrived at the exit. And were greeted by some guards who, when saw me, moved away immideatly. And walked over to the other side of the station. i sat on a ledge by a cart and started to play around with my VSV. making sure it was in good condition. I began to wait for the others. We still were in need of Roach, Vlad, Darkbringer, and the others.

When steven turned and saw my shaking hands it suddenly struck me that not only was my own life at stake, but those of the whole group. I sunk further into the abyss of my mind. I froze in place for a moment, but forced myself to keep up with andrey and Steven. When I sat down I hit the bench hard as if weighing a ton. I thought long and hard what the consequence's would be for group and myself if I were caught. Torture, interrogation and death, I could not let this happen so I stood up and said "Andrey, what's your plan to get through the Reich?. I know the rest of the group isn't here but I kneed to know now". If andrey's plan wasn't going to work I'd have to find another way through or even abandon the mission, I thought to myself. NO! Not again! A quickly answered.

    The tension mounts! Muhahaha!

I noticed the one named Benjamin, and Steven passing by alongside 'Baldy' and the other one. 'Join them' I heard a soft voice say. I turned to see if anyone was watching me, and looked for the one who spoke. I saw no one. 'Pyotr. Join them' it said again. 'A life of peace and harmony isn't for you. Isn't it?' Great. What is this, a conscience? A latent split personality? A developing schizophrenia?

    Maybe... maybe...

Well then, in that case, might aswell join them.

I head on over to the group and nodded to them. "Staying in a station controlled by Reds doesn't suit me. I'll follow you gents instead."

I laughed at Pyotr calling us "gents". A bunch of battle-ravaged, wounded, unshaven, unwashed men who wandered the metro fighting incredible enemies, including ourselves. It was the first time I had laughed in what seemed like weeks, but was probably just the last few days. "Pyotr, again, good to have you here, even if your eyesight is somewhat lacking" I laughed, scratching pointedly at my weeks of collected stubble.

Pyotr walks up to the group and says "staying in a station controlled by reds doesn't suit me. I'll follow you gents instead" Steven started to laugh strangely so I turn and face him, the last thing I want is another soul in my hands but I guess it's more or less up to Andrey. I extended my hand to him, "I never got the opportunity to introduce myself earlier. Dimitri Hinkov's the name but everyone just calls me Dima"

"nice to meet u Dima," i smiled. "And as for the plan. Dont worry about it. There is a room 100 meters from rhe reich entrance. Ill tell u guys my plan from there. If all goes well. U wont even need to fight. I just need u to get inside. I know where the brainwasher is." i stood up and stretched. Then looked at steven and pushed him to stop laughing. "The reds will get suspicious. " i then sat back down. And waited for everyone to arrive.

Andrey was right, It was a little strange for someone in Stevens position to be laughing at such a comment but I had greater things to be worrying about. I had to trust that Andrey's plan would yeiled success for me and the group, after all our very lives depened on it.

I had spent way too much time sightseeing in this station, and the reds were starting to get suspicious. Better'd get out of here, I thought. I walked quickly, and looked back every 10 seconds, to see if anyone was following me. When I got to the exit of the staton, the group had already gathered, with the exception of Vlad and Roach. "We have stirred up some suspiciousness from the reds. We should leave as quickly as possible." I said with a firm voice. When I was sure, that everyone had heard me, I asked Andrey about the plan.

We made our way through the station on to a cart that was leading us into Reich, Andrey was first on-board and i was the second getin ready to deply my L96 to watch for any enemy encounters in the tunnel, funny thing is nobody noticed i was in it, maybe because of my balaclava "Eyy guys, i know im good at hiding but im standing right here." Our new found ally Pyotr decided to come along the ride and as a "formal" greeting i took out my cantine and chucked it to him and said "Drink some of that, will straighten you abit from all that crouching and hiding in the train cart, hell it might even make you fight better, just dont drink all of it, i need to keep something for myself.", "Now whats the plan, i dont like this station one bit, it makes me feel like someone is watching me."

I had followed Andrey, Steven and Dimitri to the exit area where we waited for the rest. I leaned against the wall with my arms crossed and tried to relax a little. As Pyotr arrived, he stated that he wanted to come with us 'gents', causing Steven to laugh. I was surprised at how he managed to laugh in such a situation that we found ourselves in. There was nothing wrong with his laughing. But it just felt quite strange, as if it was fake. All of a sudden, I realized that I no longer was used to a sympathetic and humoruos Steven, which made me surprise myself. Had I really just let my view on him change just like that?

As if this was not enough for my mind, I had lately been troubled that I had left the nazi officer alive earlier. I knew very well that I had left him in much more agony by just slicing off his arm than I would have done if I killed him. But I still felt this lust to go back and finish him off for good. It was not like me at all, but I justified the thought of it by repeating to myself that the nazi officer would deserve to be killed. After all, he had slaughtered my best friend and the love of my life twenty years ago. The worst part about it, was that he could still remember it, and he hadn't changed the least.

Twenty years ago, I had cut his arm off so he could never war again. I had spared his life to give him a chance to live like a normal metro citizen. But the ungrateful bastard had just replaced his arm with a mechanical one, which I later cut off again, right in front of the team. Sitting at the exit of the station with my team, I had an awful feeling that Sung and Kimii would be disappointed in me for not simply taking that officer's useless life. They would have wanted me to do so. Who knows.... maybe the nazism would be smaller, maybe even almost defeated, if I had killed that nazi who later on became the officer who slaughtered families and whole stations.

Hell,i had t osit somewhere after one hour of standing.I decided that the ammo crate was good for the purpose. The old AKS-74 was a bit cumbersome,so i folded the stock and enjoyed the book i was reading. How much times had paased, when a guard poked me?The pages where running like a waterfall.I noticed that some guys arrived at the guard post.Nobody asked them anything."Who are these people?" i thought.
