Here. I have a couple units running a fork of Arch. Very solid, easy to update with the package manager. Also running Ubuntu on a laptop. Another netbook running Mint. Mint is forked off Ubuntu, but I'm using it to get a couple people weened off of windows (with great success).
Oh well, in the start it can seem a bit different and harder, but over time you understand much more things of your computer and you use Open Source software..so i really prefer it over Windows
I have installed elementary and the Mint linux. And so far loving the mint linux. I think elementary is too flashy and not much usable much. I'd say on that note It'd be reasonable to say that some linux are not that good.
I think windows for gaming is definitely the only option. the linux games are not that regular and it is a bit harder to use as well.
Linux is not bad either. But the issue remains with the software. Most of the time mac and the windows is good enough for the casual usage.
