Is the Phoenix Mode in Fire Emblem If going too far?

Am I the only one that feels that the Phoenix Mode in Fire Emblem If is going too far at casualizing the game?

For those not in the known, Fire Emblem is a tactics RPG in which your units are permanently dead once they are killed. To alleviate this, the previous game, Awakening, introduced a Casual Mode (I believe it was Awakening that introduced it, at least) in which your units would be revived at the end of each battle.

However, apparently even that was too hard for some, which means now they've come up with this Phoenix Mode for FE If. In Phoenix Mode, your units can be revived in the next turn.

So, am I the only one that thinks that's too much? Sure, I understand they want to make the games more accessible, but it feels like it's getting to a point where the game might as well play itself. It even feels like it's treating the players as babies incapable of learning how to play, so they need to have a ridiculously easy mode such as this one.
