I don't know what they were smoking when they came up with Final Fantasy IX. The story was lackluster, chaotic and cheesy - The in-game graphics was absolutely dreadful and the gameplay - the less said the better. Final Fantasy IX shouldn't have seen the light of day.

 

If you are fine with old-school graphics, I advise you to start playing the Final Fantasy Saga from the beginning. If you do this, you will be able to experience the evolution of the games. Also, Final Fantasy games are masterpieces. You will enjoy all of them.

 

I think playing from the beginning is more fun.
