There have been so many changes in the way crafting works in World of Warcraft that I wonder if it's worth it any more. Are certain professions better than others? What about gathering professions? Do you still do them and sell raw mats, or do you take one to feed your crafting profession? I used to think it was kind of fun and added a little more depth to World of Warcraft. I had maxed professions on my toons, even fishing,, cooking, and first aid on my main. That brings me to the secondary professions. Do you do those as well?
Hi Thisnthat. It is vigilant of you to have noticed that over time, there indeed have been not only one, but multiple changes made to the way crafting operates in World Of Warcraft. This is crucial because with the timely changes of crafting also came what seems to be a different (or even updated) version of World Of Warcraft. These changes for some people, believe it or not, are actually for the better; for others, the differences made are not for the better. Even though you seem to be in the latter group, it is keenly aware of you to even consider the secondary professions after you have completed the first round of professions. Very thoughtful post.
This is all by design, folks. The devs have said as much. There should be no advantage or real reason to have any particular profession. Craft if you like it, but you definitely don't "need" to, now. P.S. I do not like it anymore than the rest of you! Professions used to be cool, and fun.
I think these days you have more options. And also some of the time lot of new games are overtaking WOW. So not sure if it is worth anymore to play with those sets.
Crafting only goes up to 850 / 885. With gear up to 1000 and entry-level LFG / LFR dropping to 865+ whats the point in doing crafting?
