Even though the Dragon Quest games usually moved away from generic characters and established set personalities, I think most characters still managed to slot into specific classes. Which ones were usually your favourite? I was always partial to wizards / mages, personally. Magic is damned handy in most of the Dragon Quest games I've played, and I like killing things more than healing other things. Also tend to enjoy wizardy characters, namely Borya and Jessica.
I agree. I also really like wizards in Dragon Quest games. They're useful for de-buffing the enemies and/or crowd controlling them by attacking them all at once with a single attack.
I usually play as a Necromancer (or anything similar) once I fully understand a game's mechanics. I often start with a Warrior/DPS class, simply because I find it easier to learn.
