I have several rpg games that I play through my DSi, and they are fun but now I want to do more with them. Some of them need internet to do online combat and gain other items or are required for level completion but all DSi net support has basically been cut off right? If I put the game in a 3DS, will I be able to use the net hook up for the 3DS to complete these Dsi rpg games?
You won't be able to. The servers Nintendo used to power their online infrastructure during the wii/ds era have went down. There was a few games that used their own servers that might still be up, so it might be worth a try, but don't expect anything.
That's too bad. I keep getting this response in other places, but I also keep getting the response that I can set up an online function for them on the 3DS just as much...so it's getting annoying to try and figure that out. I wish I had a friend with a 3DS so I could test the theory before going out and getting one.
