I just ran across this article that describes how Bethesda plans to expand the Fallout series: http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/606051/Fallout-4-news-Bethesda-update-Monopoly I was expecting to see exciting news like a defined DLC schedule or even a new iPhone app, but I was disappointed. It turns out that Bethesda announced that there will be a Fallout Monopoly game. While I like Monopoly as much as the next person, this is certainly not something I would pre-order. Is anyone else excited about Fallout Monopoly?
Fallout Monopoly? I don't think that's going to work out, and the game doesn't even relate to the Fallout franchise, I don't think it's a smart move. They should think of other things!
Well, kind of, but that doesn't mean it's a good marketing scheme. It screams desperation to me, and Fallout are at the peak of their popularity - they don't need it.
I don't really play board games as much, so this news isn't really interesting to me. It wold be fun to see how they incorporate elements of Fallout into the game itself, though.
I think that's awesome! Why not? It could be really cool if they incorporate a lot of the basics from the game in there.
Fallout Monopoly? Really? I think I`ll pass on that. I was hoping they would announce expansion packs and story DLC, but I am sure they will, once the game hits retail and a few months have passed.
I'm...hm. So so on the idea. Monopoly seems like one of those novelty things that no one really plays anymore. It seems like it'd be a cute gift a someone could give a Fallout fan who already has everything though.
I still love monopoly. I get overly competitive though. I haven't lost in over 20 years. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
I think now, that Fallout 4 has launched and that it is the most sold game on Steam, no less, that Bethesda will definitely expand on the game world in general. Apart from multiple DLC story packs that will surely be available for the game, I think they will start working on a sequel for sure.
Perhaps having a Fallout monopoly board game of its own is a sign of Fallout's popularity. If I recall correctly, many popular shows and games have their own monopoly board games and Fallout having its own one may just as well be a good thing too (even if its ridiculous)
This won't go well, I remember Bethesda's youtube video revealing that Elder Scrolls card game had a massive amount of dislikes ( and a lot of people bitchin ). I wouldn't expect the sequel in the next five years, maybe more.
They said that they confirmed DLC contents for all of 2016. I'm honestly because usually DLCs in the Fallout games enable the developers to do all sorts of crazy stuff with the game, showing you new locations never seen in the main game and so on.
I bought the monopoly game. Not sure if I'm going to open it though Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
That is great news indeed. If we get new DLC throughout all of 2016, I will be really happy. And we all know Bethesda went to some crazy places with their DLCs. Just remember Mothership Zeta.
