I slouch when I sit. I'm going to regret it when I'm an old lady, but I just can't get into the habit of sitting up straight. I also have a really bad habit of procrastinating when I should be working. Work in this case either being practicing for the upcoming TF2 matchmaking update or actual homework work.
I've tried these and I agree they are great as a substitute. I'm just looking for a good device to start with now because I don't want to get one that breaks down easily. I have many friends who were able to quit this way so I'm hoping I can get similar results from it.
Have you tried nicotine patches? I heard about 10% of people who have quit have used nicotine patches. Maybe it will work for you as well. My husband still smokes. He quit about two days ago and smoked again now, because he's drinking alcohol. He said alcohol and smoking goes hand-in-hand. Now he's back to square one.:/
I know how he feels unfortunately. I have a hard time imaging how I will enjoy some activities that I have already associated with smoking a little too much. I haven't tried nicotine patches but I'm a bit skeptical they will work for me. I think vaping would work a lot better for me, as I have already tried it and it does serve as a very close substitute to cigarettes. I recommend your husband look into it if he is willing.
I let things pile up when I could have just finished them quickly. I hate it. I'm getting better at it, and just talking about it is helping, but hey. It's not really procrastination if you believe in yourself to complete it, it's more like not realizing how much easier it is to handle things now instead of being annoyed at having to occupy an hour of your life at once instead of gradually
You both think alike! Lol. He said smoking is already a part of some of his habits. Like smoking after eating or while drinking. I recommended vaping to him as well but he still won't budge. He said if he'd quit, he want it to be cold turkey. He doesn't want anything he might get addicted to again.
I think it's common with smokers and it's probably why cigarettes are common in coffee shops and bars. As for vaping, that is unfortunate that he thinks that way. I have a lot of friends who were able to quit by moving on to vaping first then quitting that after. I'm guessing it's a little easier to quit that than cigarettes. Hopefully I will follow suit soon.
That might be true. Oh, don't forget casinos as well! Yeah, I told him that about 10% of cigarette quitters had quit because of vapes. But he still won't budge. He says that the throat hit will never be the same. I truly hope you quit though through vaping. Good luck!
I think the top on everyone's list will be procrastination. Whether its gaming, reddit, TV, or just plain laziness. I'm sadly guilty of all of these. I do get productive.. occasionally... haha..
I am a nail biter, I cannot go a day without biting all of them off. I have tried the whole nasty nail polish and hated the way it tasted that I stopped using it. I know defeated the whole purpose of it. I am also addicted to soda, I dont have at least one a day, I get headaches and grumpy. Also a smoker...wow I have a lot of bad habits.
My bad habit is that i eat too much. I really appreciate good tasting food. I love mexican, pie, biscuits and gravy, and other items too numerous to mention. And the sad fact is that i can't cook. But i sure do appreciate those that can.
Do you mean that you don't cook well, don't cook the things you like best, or just don't cook at all? I hope you didn't mean the last one. Where I come from that would be equivalent to stating that you don't bathe or clothe yourself without help. It's a basic life skill that one should at least have rudimentary ability in.
I initially thought the same but there are some nicotine liquids that give roughly the same kick. I recommend trying it out at least under the best circumstances because it really is the closest substitute that most effectively helps in quitting. THanks for the well wishes.
Mine is procrastination. I tend to always push activities I am supposed to attend to at the very moment to a future time. This sometimes get things complex as so many jobs would have piled up when I am back to clear them.
One of my major bad habits is simply procrastination and goofing off when I'm suppose to work on something.
Browsing facebook and net before anything else. I think I really got addicted to this. I can't put down my phone for a minute.
