I'm a big Android fan, I've used some an HTC in the past and now I've a samsung III, what do you think about Android smartphones ?
Android HTC here, converted from iPhone first 3 gens. Haven't regretted the move, it was great for me. But I am interested in the new Ubuntu phone, going to give that a look when available.
I'll take a look too, but Android seem far ahead at the moment. Note that I use Ubuntu on a computer at home, so I know fairly well this operating system
Same here. Android has a lot of apps for it, but I'm thinking that the Ubuntu phones may catch up quickly due to ease of porting existing apps. Then again I could be over estimating the 'ease of porting'. I hope the apps get populated quickly though.
We'll see. Now to be honest i Really don't like Unity Desktop Environment But perhaps I should start a new thread about this topic.
At first I didn't like Unity either, but it has really grown on me. It's highly customizable and now a breeze for me to work with. But I understand you comment completely.
Personally I prefer an Apple. Yes it costs a lot usually, but it keep it's value over time and you don't have to spend a lot of days to make it work.
I just got the Galaxy Note II and my last phone was Android based, I will never go with and iPhone. I say that in confidence because I know Apple will not make a larger, more powerful phone than anything Samsung has.
I still do not have either, my phone is primitively old it's a samsung gravity T. The way I see it I really only need my phone for texting and chatting on the phone. The web browser does suck though.
Android all the way, especially considering that the market for android users tends to span all other platforms, you have an immense choice of apps created by different companies and users, whereas the apple only allows apps run and created by apple themselves, they are too closed off for my liking.
I'd go with Apple as I love a bunch of money hungry tyrants reading everything I write. That being said, my real vote lies with Android as I don't like Apples new message policies.
I'm more of an android user, although i have them both i use android for a lot of task and gaming. It may because it's there are few compatibility issues on most games.
I think Android seems to be lot better. And it does have a vibe of making the best out of the game in that case. I have loved playing with the android for same reason.
I have both Apple and Android devices but I usually use Android phone too. For me, I'm working online and taking up some courses online too, android can maximize my work. Android can run varieties of apps and can connect easily to other devices. Unlike Apple, apps are limited and expensive. I should be practical.
I think IOS has the better security than the android which you can easily JailBreak it. But the only problem I have in IOS is that you can't have any apps other than the Apps store, unlike The android which you can download any application to any sources. Also, I have lots of friend who forgot their Apple ID and they can't download any apps in the appstore
