I played Doom 2 as a kid, along with Hexen, Diablo 2, Red Alert 2, and Counter Strike. It was a really fun game to play, and I would love to play it again if I could find a damn copy anywhere, and a copy that would be able to support a Windows 7 operating system, which sounds incredibly unlikely at this day and age. What about you guys? What's your best childhood memory for video games? Anyone else here played Doom 2?
I have a lot of memories related to my favorite video games and "Doom 2" is definitely on my list. My parents didn't like it very much (and I even agree with them, after all, it wasn't a children's game), but I loved it.
As a kid, no... I didn't even know about Doom at the time. Internet wasn't there, and I didn't hear anyone talk about it. I first heard about the Doom series when Doom 3 came out, and after playing it I wanted to try also the first ones. So yes, I played both Doom 1 and Doom 2.. but not as a kid.
