Unsung Story Coming To Consoles

What is the deal with Unsung Story? What systems will it actually come out for?

Unsung Story is one of the most known about Kickstarter projects ever, at least in regards to video games, and not for good reasons. The RPG got a lot of buzz early, and got funded quickly. But then, things went wrong, the team couldn’t (or wouldn’t) make the game that was promised. So much so that they eventually turned the game over to another studio. And now, in a new update, the team has updated the state of the game.

Key among them is that the game is now planned for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. What’s more, certain rewards that were pledged to are being changed because of lack of numbers on those pledges, but, it will “balance out” as players will be able to choose what new platform they wish to go to.

“For me, I remember playing Final Fantasy Tactics from the couch on my PS1, and that format was quintessential to my experience enjoying that game,” CEO of Little Orbit Matthew Scott wrote. “Hopefully this balances some of the cancellations and changes we are making.”

Whether this works or not still remains to be seen, as Unsung Story will have much scrutiny until the game is fully released.
