Ubisoft Apologizes For The Division 2 Email

What’s up with that email from The Division 2? Was that intentional?

Recently, an email for the beta of The Division 2 went out, and in was a political diss referring to the government shutdown that hit the United States recently. The letter was pretty bad in terms of offense, and gamers went to town on it. Which of course prompted a big response by Ubisoft apologizing for the whole event:

“A marketing email promoting Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was sent in error today. This was a grave breakdown in process and we apologize for this error and the offensive subject line of the e-mail.”

The apology continued, “We recognize the very real impact of the United States government shutdown on thousands of people and did not intend to make light of the situation.”
