The Elder Scrolls Online Now Playable in Native 4K Resolution! Get All the Details Here!

by on November 11, 2016

Bethesda Softworks and Zenimax Studios Online have officially announced this week that The Elder Scrolls Online is now playable in native 4K resolution for the new Sony PlayStation 4 Pro console. The stunning 4K resolution is now possible due to a free update that’s currently available to all PlayStation 4 Pro owners and players of The Elder Scrolls Online. A trailer was also previously released for the game’s PlayStation 4 Pro, 4K announcement. You can check out the video in the player below.

If players purchase the game new for the PlayStation 4 Pro, or if they even move to a new PlayStation 4 Pro from an existing PS4 console, The Elder Scrolls Online will now automatically play in native 4K. The catch? You have to own a 4K television, which is the only way the 4K resolution will work. The good news? Even if gamers don’t own a 4K television set, The Elder Scrolls Online will still automatically adjust and will deliver a higher graphical fidelity in standard 1080p HD while using the PlayStation 4 pro console.

The Elder Scrolls Online is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game’s latest DLC, Orsinium, was recently released, and the game is currently celebrating it’s one-year anniversary with some special rewards and festivities. The special anniversary events will run through November 21.
