The Elder Scrolls: Legends Gets a Special Event Next Week! Get All the Details Here!

by on December 9, 2016

Bethesda Softworks officially announced this week that there will be a special event next week for The Elder Scrolls: Legends. The legendary Daedric Prince of Madness is going to take control of the game and put it through chaos in a special limited event. This event kicks off on December 14 and will offer players a new PVP Arena Mode called Chaos Arena. In Chaos Arena, players can face random and surprising special lane rules and also scenarios that might affect or challenge players to develop new strategies on the fly.

The new gameplay mode is optional during PvP, and it will be used to randomly introduce one or more special scenarios or lane rules to each match. Additionally, some of the special scenarios might involve beginning Legends with some extra Magicka. Or, starting the game with cards already in the lanes; having the players swap their decks at the start of each game; and more options. These lane rules changes will also include some random items for the cards that are played in a lane. These effects include Windy lanes, where cards change lanes at random times during the gameplay. Cards will also receive buffs and bonuses by casting cards in a certain lane. In the past, special lane conditions and scenarios such as this were only available to use in PvE matches.

The special event will feature a new set of special cards called the Madhouse Collection. Players who purchase the Madhouse Collection will receive three copies of each card as well as an Arena Ticket, and players can try Chaos Arena right away. The Madhouse Collection cards will be immediately added to all Arena modes. These modes include Sheogorath’s bizarre Chaos Arena. These cards will be available for purchase either with in-game gold or for money through the store beginning Dec 15.

Chaos Arena will run from December 14 and end on December 19. The Elder Scrolls: Legends is currently available in Open Beta on Windows PC. It’s due out for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android Tablets later on. It’s also in development for iOS and Android phones. You can also check out some new screenshots for the event in the gallery below.
