Ubisoft officially announced today that the publisher plans to unveil the details of new content for Tom Clancy’s The Division, and it’s happening tomorrow (March 31) with a livestream on Twitch. The reveal will be streamed on The Division’s official Twitch channel starting at 11:00 AM PST/2:00 PM EST.
Dubbed a “Special Report,” Ubisoft plans to fully unveil the new Incursions, which will be available to players later in April. The Incursions will essentially work as The Division’s take on raids. This will be a part of The Division’s endgame content and free DLC for players.
For Incursions, players will team up in squads for challenging and unstoppable enemies to earn higher level weapons and gear. Hopefully the loot drops for the Incursions will not be as unforgiving and random as they were in Destiny. A huge part of the frustration in Destiny is the general random nature of the loot drops and getting that one item you really want. If Ubisoft doesn’t have this concept well figured out, it could lead to a great deal of apathy and frustration for players later on.
Tom Clancy’s The Division is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The game broke Ubisoft’s sales records in just 24 hours and became one of the top four new IP game launches in history.
