Star Citizen’s Annual Ship Showcase Trailer

Cloud Imperium has partnered with Star Citizen’s annual ship showcase, the Invictus Launch Week, and Drake’s showcase. The show gets underway today and tomorrow. Cloud Imperium has released a video displaying the Drake Ironclad, the latest mid-size cargo ship.

The Ironclad is a medium-sized “armored freighter” between the standard cargo ships and the super-high-end ones available in Star Citizen. It can accommodate a six-person crew.  It’s got doors for loading on the ground and unloading in space, and it’s got a comfortable habitation box.

In addition to Star Citizen’s new capability to fight, Ironclad has a great deal of armor to make it more durable. if that armor isn’t doing the trick, then there are a few engineering and architectural features to make it more efficient.

It also has a small emergency pod for escaping. In short, the team wants to enable players of any alignment to operate this ship or engage with it.
