Square Enix Announces New Valkyrie Profile Game! Get All the Details!
Fans who are eager for return to Valkyrie Profile might be in luck. Square Enix has officially announced a new installment in the Valkyrie Profile RPG series. The new teaser website Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin is available at this link. Per Gematsu’s translation, the game is due out in Japan sometime this spring.
The website offers little to no details on the game release, other than the fact that it will be released in Japan sometime this year. There’s really nothing on the website other than a logo. The platform for the game isn’t even listed. According to Gematsu’s report, the website implies that it uses the word “distribution,” which could mean the game is some type of smartphone video game. However that has not yet been confirmed. It’s also unknown if it will be released in Japan.
Yoshinori Yamagishi, the producer of Covenenant of the Plume, is reportedly involved in the game. So the game could be under development at Tri-Ace for the title.
It will be interesting to see exactly what Square Enix has planned for the franchise next. More details on Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin will be revealed later on. The first Valkyrie Profile game was released in Japan in 1999.
I'm a huge fan of the Valkyrie Profile games. I'm rather eager to see how it will turn out. I'm going to deliberately not get too excited about this just so I wont be too let down just incase it really isn't that good.
