Pokemon Sun & Moon Have Sold 3.7 Million Copies In Two Weeks!
Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon had a lot going for it leading up to its release. It held the titles of most downloaded demo in Nintendo history, and it was the most pre-ordered game in Nintendo history. Now, it can add “fastest selling game in the Americas”. For in less than two weeks, the titles have sold 3.7 million copies combined.
That eclipses what Pokemon X & Y did in the same amount of time. In fact, it actually did better by a much bigger margin. This is combined with numerous reviews talking about how the new games are a big step forward for the main Pokemon titles. Add to that, this is the 20th anniversary for Pokemon, and the sales record was almost a guarantee.
Sales are no doubt going to continue for the titles, and if rumors of a Pokemon Stars coming to the Nintendo Switch are true, the franchise won’t be slowing down any time soon.
