Pokemon GO’s Gyms Have Re-opened!
Recently, Niantic Labs took down the gyms in Pokemon GO so that some updates could be installed. Now, they’ve revealed on Twitter that the gyms are back online.

As for what’s changed, the entire gym system has undergone stages. For now, Prestige will not be the determining factor. Instead, there will be six Pokemon at a gym, and there will be six different types, no duos. Furthermore, the gyms will now act like PokeStops, where you can get items for spinning a dial. Also, for the first time in Pokemon GO, you can earn gym badges.
Even the way you battle in gyms is different. As the order of fights will be determined by what order the Pokemon in the gym arrives. So, if you’re looking for new experiences in Pokemon GO, now is a good time to go experience them.
