Pokemon GO Has Passed 650 Million Downloads
At GDC 2017, it was revealed that Pokemon GO has passed over 650 downloads. While this is a much smaller number than you’d think, especially considering that 500 million downloads were recorded before September of last year, this is still quite an accomplishment.
Furthermore, Niantic CTO, Phil Kreslin revealed that players have walked over 5.4 billion miles.
Pokemon GO received a major update recently in the form of the addition of 80 Johto Pokemon, which many consider to be bringing “new life” to the title, which has had an up and down momentum swing since it launched last July.
What will be interesting to see, is whether this new content will truly bring back the game to the heights it had, or keep it limping along as many have stated it’s doing now.
