Blizzard Entertainment officially revealed that one of the heroes of Overwatch, Tracer, is going to be added to the multiplayer online battle arena Heroes of the Storm. This will be the first Overwatch character who is joining the roster for the PC MOBA. Tracer will be available for the game starting on April 19 for gamers who pre-purchase a digital copy of Overwatch: Origins Edition for Windows PC (which goes for $60.

Tracer will be available to all players a week later on April 26. Since she’s advertised as the first Overwatch character to join the game, that’s an obvious implication that more characters from the new game will be available in Heroes of the Storm later on.

Tracer will have a diverse set of unique abilities and talents in the Nexus. She can move while attacking, which is a first for a character in Heroes of the Storm. She also has a single Heroic ability that she can customize by upgrading it in three different ways.

Adding Overwatch characters to Heroes of the Storm sounds like a good strategy for Blizzard. Hopefully Tracer will just be the first of many, especially since the Overwatch characters are already look so cool and iconic.

The full Overwatch game will be available on May 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The open beta for the game will be available in early May.
