No Man’s Sky Has Wrapped Production!

by on July 7, 2016

After four long years, many delays, and the destruction of one development studio, Hello Games has announced via Twitter that their highlight anticipated title has gone gold. The post came from the founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray:

“It’s happened. No Man’s Sky just went gold. I’m so incredibly proud of this tiny team. 4 years of emotions.”

It truly has been a struggle to get the game made. From its small team making a vast universe, to unforeseen setbacks including a lawsuit with Sky TV over the use of the word “sky” in their video game. Regardless though, the game and the studio have made it through, and are set for their worldwide launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on August 9th.

Cool. While I'm not as excited for the game as some people are, I am still very interested to see how the game turns out.

Looks interesting but it's not my favorite type of theme for a game. Usually I can get over that if the gameplay is good but I'll have to wait and see to try it out for myself first.

What is all the hype about this game, am I missing something? I'm not familiar with the concept or anything but people seem to be more hyped than they were when GTA V released. Anyone care to fill me in?
