No Man’s Sky Developer Receiving Death Threats For Game Delay

by on May 30, 2016

The video game community is a very passionate group of people, but at times, that passion can get the best of them, and their words and actions seriously hurt.

Recently, Hello Games announced that No Man’s Sky would have to be delayed for seven weeks. Head of the studio, Sean Murray, even went on Twitter to help ruffle any favors the delay might have caused. Unfortunately, this seemed to rile up the fans even more. So much so that he has received death threats due to the game delay. He stated on Twitter:

“I have received loads of death threats this week, but don’t worry, Hello Games now looks like the house from Home Alone #pillowfort”

Any updates on No Man’s Sky will likely come via E3 in June.

I think the people sending death threats for a seven week delay could use a bit of time off from the internet and video games. Sounds like their world has gotten so consumed and been molded into this tiny bubble that it's become their whole life.

"You're taking more time developing the game to make it better? How dare you, I hope you die."
I don't understand these people, seriously. Did we suddenly forget that these were the same guys that had their office flooded and ruined like almost a couple of years ago? Of course it will be hard for them to rebuild an entire game, give them as much time as they need.
