New Insights on World of Warcraft Console Version

Recently, Holly Longdale, World of Warcraft’s vice president and executive producer, spoke with VGC about the possibility of a console version.

In the interview, Longdale was asked about a console version of WoW and replied, “Of course, we still talk about it. We’re gamers. I don’t think anything is out of the realm of possibility, but we don’t have anything to talk about right now.”

Longdale has addressed this question before. At BlizzCon 2023, speaking to GamesRadar, Longdale said Blizzard continually considers bringing WoW to consoles. Longdale admitted that it’s a difficult question due to the game’s console feasibility.

As a result of Blizzard becoming part of Microsoft, Longdale conceded that these types of conversations definitely come up.

Blizzard has opened pre-orders for the 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition of World of Warcraft: The War Within. This special edition includes 3 days of early access to the expansion, an art book, and many more in-game goodies

No exact release date has been set for The War Within expansion, but players can expect to jump in sometime this year.

‘World of Warcraft: The War Within’ is part of a new Worldsoul Saga trilogy led by Chris Metzen. It is the tenth expansion for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game following Dragonflight.
