Electronic Arts and BioWare dropped the latest trailer for Mass Effect Andromeda. You can check out the new video, featuring a lot of new gameplay footage in the player below.
It’s been a while since the last Mass Effect game in 2012. It will be interesting to see what BioWare learned from that game, and how players will respond to this new game, which will feature new characters and story threads. It looks like the central character is a “pathfinder” who is exploring the Andromeda system in order to find a potential new home for the human race. The problem is that it looks like the new worlds are quite hostile with alien races who don’t really seem to care for humans or their allies either.
New features for the game include destructible environments, boosted jumps to give the gameplay some additional verticality, new weapons and Biotics for combat. BioWare is also promising a much more flexible skill and weapon progression tree for the game. Additionally, players are supposed to be able to replicate their play style to make them unstoppable against new and more powerful alien threats.
The footage for the upcoming sequel definitely looks exciting. It should be interesting to see what the reception is for the game. Mass Effect Andromeda finally hits the shelves later this month. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One and Windows PC on March 21 in North America and March 23 worldwide.
