Riot Games, the developer behind the massively popular League of Legends, has teased what project gamers can expect from them next. It was revealed via a string of tweets by Lead Designer for Riot Games R&D Ryan Scott, who was asked a plethora of questions by fans about what they could expect next from the developer.
It began with a simple question of what Riot Games was working on, to which Scott replied:
“No deets for a while, but trying to get the ‘s’ in the Riot Games name.”
Next, after noting what game genres Scott personally likes, was about what type of game they could expect.
“Genre-wise [it’s] pretty broad. The important thing for us is to make something meaningful, not a ‘me too’ game.”
It was then revealed that there may be more than one project in the works, as he noted during a question about the size of the game they could expect from him:
“Bigger, like complete standalone games (for my project at least).”
He then finished the Q&A by definitively confirmed that more titles were coming by Riot:
“Unless we can’t figure it out at all (I consider that highly unlikely), yes!”
When more news of what Riot Games is developing breaks, we will report it.
