Firewatch is a mystery set in the Wyoming wilderness, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio.
In Firewatch you play as a man named Henry who has decided to leave behind his rat race of work in the busy city and retreat to the middle of nowhere, in the vast wilderness of the Wyoming forests to work as a fire lookout. Perched high atop a mountain, it’s your job to keep the wilderness safe, by keeping a lookout for fires, dangerous animals, and unwanted guests. The especially hot and dry summer has everyone on edge. Your supervisor, a woman named Delilah, is available to you at all times over a small, handheld radio — and is your only contact with the world you’ve left behind.
Your lonely outpost in the isolated wilderness of Wyoming
But mystery surrounds this story and before long you are out in the wilderness to investigate the odd happenings. As the mystery deepens, you start to unravel disturbing secrets, seeing mysterious figures in the woods, and hoping your 2-way radio transmissions, your only lifeline to Delilah and the outside world, don’t fail you. This is one of those haunting games, where your imagination may be your worst enemy.
Your outpost in the daytime. A little less frightening, but just as isolated
