After a successful launch last week, Humankind is set to add a new DLC and an update, The game will bring a major update to its PC version on September 11, 2023.
Featuring six new cultures, six new wonders, and 15 new narrative events, the Cultures of Oceania DLC adds Pama-Nyungan, Polynesians, Rapa Nui, Maori, Hawaiians, and New Zealanders.
In addition, there are six new wonders of the world. Aitutaki Lagoon, Bungle Bungle Range, Uluru, Whakaari Volcano, Royal Palace of Pape’ete, and Mauna Kea Observatory are among the new Wonders to discover. The DLC is now available for pre-order on Steam and the Epic Games Store at a pre-release discount
Furthermore, Humankind will also receive a free update and new content, titled the Bonny Update. This update will add Caribbean Pirates as an additional new culture. This update is already available through Steam as an opt-in beta for those who would like to test it out.
During the Caribbean Pirate era, Humanity gained a second Emblematic Unit and forwent their Emblematic Quarter. Their first Emblematic Unit was the Buccaneer, and their second Emblematic Unit was the Sloop.
In addition, the Bonny Update addresses improvements and overhauls to naval warfare in general. Rebalancing ships, air units, missiles, and even reclassifying ships are among the changes.
With this update, three new types of ships will be added to the game – submarines, destroyers, and frigates. A series of naval warfare updates have been added, including the ability for naval units to fire back if attacked, larger naval battlefields and deployment zones, and more/
