Check Out the Gamescom Demo for Star Wars Battlefront II’s Starfighter Assault Mode!

Are you ready for Star Wars Battlefront II? Are you eager to check out the game’s new Starfighter Assault mode featuring actual outer space battles, which weren’t even available in the last Battlefront game when it launched?

Electronic Arts and Criterion Games revealed a new gameplay demo video for Star Wars Battlefront II straight from Gamescom 2017 this week. You can check out the new gameplay footage in the player below.

The gameplay features the developers from EA and Criterion, producer Rob Wyle and designer John Stanley, offering some commentary over the new footage for the new space battles mode in the game. The footage was recorded straight from PlayStation 4 Pro.

One of the major problems for the first Battlefront game is that it launched without any type of space battles at all. For a Star Wars game to not have space battles, let alone a Star Wars game, was really weird and borderline absurd. At least Battlefront II is launching right off the bat with a single-player campaign and gameplay battles in outer space.

Star Wars Battlefront II arrives on November 17. The game will arrive just in time before the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which opens in theaters in December. Battlefront II will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
