Game Freak Speaks Out On Pokemon 2019 Title

by on July 20, 2018

What’s the latest on the core Pokemon title coming in 2019? Any features they can reveal?

Pokemon is coming to the Nintendo Switch this year in the form of Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. However, as many fans have noted, these are more casual titles, and not core RPGs like the main series is. However, developer Game Freak promises that a core entry in the series is coming next year, though precious little is known about it.

However, in an interview with Famitsu, one of the team, Junichi Masuda let loose some new details.

“As for the 2019 title, we’re working with the idea that everyone will be playing on their own Switch. It’ll have the same kind of feeling as the previous games on handheld systems.”

He also notes that the game could be able to trade with Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee.

“There have been times where you couldn’t bring Pokemon over from previous titles – I imagine that created some bad memories. I want to try and change that, if I can.”

It seems as though Game Freak is working very hard to make this game match gamers expectations, as well as exceeding them. But for more information, we’ll just have to wait.
