Game Freak Seeking Help With Pokemon Console Title?

by on March 20, 2017

Since before the Nintendo Switch was debuted, multiple times, we have known that Game Freak (the team behind the Pokemon games) was going to make at least one game for the console. There was even rumors that the third entry in the Pokemon Sun/Moon saga would be on the Switch in the form of Pokemon Stars, however, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

However, two job listings by the company ask for help in making parts and models for a console title. And though the Switch isn’t named, a console is defined as the place the game will end up. Here is an excerpt from the ad:

“We’ll have you work on the production an RPG game that is popular on a global scale. Platform will be console. It’s a title that just about anyone knows, a proposal that could be your future career.”

So yes, it seems to indicate Pokemon on Switch in a big way. The other ad is for a 3D model maker, one that can make models on the scale of a “Wii U/Vita” level title, likely meaning HD, and possibly beyond.

What this means for the Switch is unclear, but if Game Freak is making something big, it could be announced soon, especially with E3 right around the corner.
