Final Fantasy XIV Time Restriction Lifted!

by on March 28, 2017

Final Fantasy XIV has been surging in popularity, and with the upcoming Stormblood expansion coming, Square Enix wants new players to join in on the title. To that end, they’re doing a new kind of free trial service, one that doesn’t restrict you based on days played, which was the previous model, but rather, based on what you do in the game.

As the PlayStation Blog notes, the new free trial will let you play the game in full more-or-less, with the only restriction being you can’t advance once your character hits level 35. However, you can create a whole new character, pick another class for them to be, and start over again.

Plus, if anyone has ever done the free trial before, your expired account will be reactivated so that you can partake in the new trial.

So if you’re looking to try out Final Fantasy XIV, this is probably the best way to do it.
